All of the readings to me were anti-something that can be bias or discriminatory in some form or fashion (race or religion). What I found that was interesting was all readings reflected back to some other source of information or reading/book. All readings show or express people's opinion and their view of the world and what they think is justice or injustice. All readings express some form of racism in the manner that if you believe in one thing you are viewed as one way and if you believe in something else you are viewed in a different way as well.
The reading expresses the different types of cultures and views and this was very interesting to me just reading how different the views are and the challenges that people have overcome and still yet to come.

Yes, you are so right! There have been many challenges and conflicts in terms of meeting the needs of diverse populations in schools. I just posted on another blog that in my own experience I never had the pleasure of looking up and seeing the face of a teacher who represented my culture. In reflection, it didn't bother me as a child, however, as I entered high school I noticed it more and more.
